River life

We need only walk several hundred feet to escape civilization and feed on the river. The flow of water over the rocks drowning out the sound of cars and airplanes. A place that feels like our own, although we share it with the world.

The river is always there to greet us.

She’s never too busy. She’ll take the time to listen when we sit down for a chat.

The extent of her energy seems limitless.

She’s the spirit that gathers us– human, bear, eagle, and salmon.

And although her presence is constant, she never looks the same. She adapts and changes to the conditions around her. Sometimes her cup runneth over. Sometimes she’s low. But no matter the conditions, she’s always sustaining life.
